Welcome to McPherson Magnet School

McPherson Magnet School is the home of the Meteors!  We value our skilled and dedicated educators, both general education and special education – all highly qualified to teach our Kindergarten through 8th grade students.  McPherson is many things:  a lottery school, a magnet school for math, science, and technology, a K-8 school, an SDC school for K-3, a school that is open to all residing in orange and challenges all students with a hands-on approach.

McPherson Magnet is school that prides itself in providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members.  We focus on the six pillars of character:  trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.  We teach anti-bullying strategies and are currently utilizing a program called Expect Respect from the OCDE, PBIS.  Inclusion themes each month are taught and integrated in what we do at school.  Parents are our partners and vital to our success.  Monthly Principal Coffees, School Site Council, PTSA, and our Education Foundation are parent groups who collaborate together with administration to move our school forward.

Staff, students, and parents embrace a variety of activities.  Please refer to our school calendar for the many school-wide events that are ongoing.

Go Meteors!
